Import from Bear Notes

Notejoy makes it easy to import all your existing Bear notes into Notejoy, including formatting and images.

To import from Bear Notes:

  • First, export your notes from Bear. Start by selecting Notes in the sidebar and select Edit -> Select All. Then select File -> Export Notes. Export as Markdown. And check the box to Export attachments. Create a new folder to export your notes to.
  • From Notejoy, select Import Notes from the user menu in the bottom-left corner
  • Select the target notebook for the import by clicking the notebook name in the header
  • Where it says "Choose files, a folder, or drag here", click on "folder". Then select the folder that you exported your Bear notes to.

Notejoy will automatically import your tags from Bear. However, Notejoy does not support tags with spaces.
